Dr. Shiwei Xu

Shiwei Xu received his Ph.D. in Management. Dr Xu currently is Director General of Agricultural Information Institute (AII) of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS), Director of Key Laboratory of Digital Agricultural Early-warning Technology of Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China, Member of the 8th Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Chairperson of the Council of Science and Technology Information Branch of China Association of Agricultural Science Societies (CAASS), and Deputy Director and Secretary-General of State Food and Nutrition Consultant Committee. He has conducted extensive research on agricultural information system, food safety and early-warning technology. He has lead or participated 30 projects under Major Program of National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Key Technology R&D Program, Key Program of Ministry of Agriculture, Special Basic Research and Social Commonweal Research Programs. In recent years ,his research has received many awards, including Beijing Science & Technology Progress Award (Second Class), CAAS Science & Technology Achievement Award (First Class), and CAAS Science & Technology Achievement Award (Second Class, twice), China Agricultural Science & Technology Prize (Second Class, twice), Young Scientist Award of 8th CAASS, and was selected as outstanding scholar of CAAS in 2003. He has published more than 10 books and 70 articles in academic periodicals. Dr. Xu has been invited to visit research institutes and universities of the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, Japan, and South Korea.

许世卫，管理学博士，研究员，博士生导师。现为中国农业科学院农业信息研究所所长， 农业部智能化农业预警技术重点开放实验室主任，农业部第八届科学技术委员会委员，中国 农学会农业科技情报分会理事长，国家食物与营养咨询委员会副主任兼秘书长，中国农业科 学院农业信息管理与智能分析岗位杰出人才。长期从事农业信息分析、食物安全与预警研究, 主持和参加国家自然科学基金重大项目、重点项目，国家科技支撑项目，农业部重点科技项 目，科技部基础性和社会性公益专项等近30 项。这些项目均取得重要研究结果。近年来， 多次获得科技成果奖励:获北京市科技进步二等奖1 项、中国农科院科技成果一等奖1 项、 中国农科院科技成果二等奖2 项、中华农业科技奖三等奖2 项。是第八届中国农学会青年科 技奖获得者，2003 年被评为中国农业科学院杰出岗位人才。在相关研究领域出版专著10 多 部，其中独著1 部，主编10 部、副主编4 部。公开发表学术论文70 多篇。应美国、英国、 法国、德国、意大利、加拿大、日本、韩国等国家的研究机构与大学邀请，多次前往进行学 术交流。
