Abstract:
This study analyzes Chinese farmers risk behavior, based on a survey of farmers in China. A Likert data scale is used for survey questions, and responses cover areas such as experience and perceptions regarding agricultural insurance. Data also includes responses regarding the types of crops and livestock produced, and also farm characteristic variables. Demographic variables are included in the survey, such as gender, income, education, and family size. Results should help provide a better understanding of Chinese farmers’ behavior regarding risk.
