Prof. Qiao Zhang was invited to attend the Workshop of Disaster Reduction and Risk Management

   The workshop of Disaster Reduction and Risk Management that joint sponsored by National Office for Disaster Reduction and National Disaster Reduction Center, Ministry of Civil Affairs, P.R. China was held  On June 16, 2009 in Beijing.

    The theme of this workshop was “Disaster Reduction and Management: theory and practice”, and more than 50 experts from Peking University, Tsinghua University, China office of UNDP, MST, CAS, CAAS, Beijing Normal University and government officers attended the workshop. Prof. Qiao Zhang was invited to attend this workshop, and had a deeply discussion with other experts on the issue of the influence of natural disasters, new problems during the development of Chinese disaster reduction, the way in improving the quality of risk management policy et al.
